Bharathanatyam Competition Instruction

The following instrctions are for all participants:

  • Please come at least 30 minutes before your performance number and check in with the room volunteer
  • Please bring your backup music on a cloud drive or YouTube link (Not applicable for the Choreography Category)
  • The venue has no dressing rooms, so please arrive ready to perform
  • All venues prohibit using Alta, Marker, or red paint on hands and feet. As per the venue contracts, participants who do not comply will be charged a $500 fine

Saturday Instructions

  • The competition for Traditional Categories will be held at the Wolstein Center Pavilion at 2000 Prospect Ave E, on the 4th floor
  • There are several private paid parking lots and garages within walking distance of the Wolstein Center
  • Each room will have a hardwood dance floor for participants to perform and limited seating for parents and family to watch the competition. We will have two reserved seats in the front of the room for parents to record their child’s performance.

Sunday Instructions

The Choreography and Performance competition will be at Cleveland State University at Waetjen Auditorium at 2001 Euclid Ave. Participants in each category must all arrive 30 minutes before the start time of their category, and register with the volunteers at the front desk.

The trophy presentation and winner announcements will happen Sunday afternoon after the choreography competition in Waetjen Auditorium. If you are unable to attend the trophy presentation, the results will be posted within a week on our Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival Facebook page and our website aradhana.org.

As there are over 250 entries across categories, individual feedback will not be provided.
