Kalpana Swaram Competitions
Please read these rules carefully before registering for the competition.
- There will be two age groups — junior for ages 10 to 14, and senior for ages 15 to 21. (Age should be calculated as of March 31)
- In addition to these age groups, there will be different categories for vocal, violin, veena, etc.
- People who will be performing a concert in this Aradhana, or who have performed a concert in a previous Cleveland Aradhana are not eligible to participate in the competition (group concerts organized by the Aradhana Committee do not count towards this restriction).
- If an applicant is competing in more than one category, a separate application form must be submitted for each category. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
- All applicants in the Senior category must submit 5 (FIVE) krithis, and those in the Junior category must submit 3 (THREE). The judges will choose one of those krithis for you to perform on stage.
- If you are unable to perform the krithi that the judges selected, you may be disqualified.
- A strict time limit of 5 (FIVE) minutes will be imposed. A buzzer will signal the conclusion of the allotted time. The judges may ask you to stop before the allotted time.
- The decision of the judges is final and binding.
- Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification. Please make sure that your entry conforms to the rules and also keep strictly within the time limits. The number of participants is very large and we would like to give all the children a chance to showcase their talent.
By filling out an application, you agree to abide by the rules of the competition and decisions of the judges.

- List of Krithis (with raga, tala, and composer)
Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Complete applications must be received by March 7 .
