Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana - Percussion Competition

Please read these rules carefully before registering for the competition.

There will be three age groups - sub-junior for ages 6 to 9, junior for ages 10 to 14, and senior for ages 15 to 21. (Age should be calculated as of March 31)
In addition to these age groups, there will be different categories for mridangam, kanjira, ghatam, etc.
People who will be performing a concert in this Aradhana, or who have performed a concert in a previous Cleveland Aradhana are not eligible to participate in the competition (group concerts organized by the Aradhana Committee do not count towards this restriction).
If an applicant is competing in more than one category, a separate application form must be submitted for each category. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
All applicants in the Senior and Junior categories must submit 3 (THREE) talas, and Sub-Juniors must submit 1 (ONE). The judges will choose one of those talas for you to perform on stage. If you are unable to perform the tala selected by the judge, you may be disqualified.
A strict time limit of 5 (FIVE) minutes will be imposed. A buzzer will signal the conclusion of the allotted time. The judges may request contestants to stop before the allotted time as well.
The decision of the judges is final and binding.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification. Please make sure that your entry conforms to the rules and also keep strictly within the time limits. The number of participants is very large and we would like to give all the children a chance to showcase their talent.
All applications for registration must be received by March 7 . Applications received after that date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
